Sitting at the desk and not getting enough exercise?
Let's say you drive to your work and work at your desk for 8 hours everyday. You will probably sleep for 6-8 hours at night. All those hours, about 15-17 hours per day, is the time you are physically inactive. If you think about this number, you might want to increase the workout time, but it wouldn't be that easy.
If you can do a little exercise at desk, it will help you be more physically active and improve effectiveness of your work. Try these workout routines that you can do at your desk to refresh your body without being noticed by anyone.
Like football players do, rapidly tap your feet in place, as if you are running. Do this for 30 seconds while you are sitting is pretty hard. Especially if you try not to make any noise.
Did you know that standing while you are working in effective? It also burns more calories. It would be great, if your work provides one of those desk you can adjust the height so that you can sit or stand while using a computer. If not, try to find the job you can do while standing. It will be refreshing, too!
When you are sitting in your chair, extend your leg until it gets the same level as your hip. Hold there as long as you can, and then relax it. Do one leg at a time. And repeat 10-15 times. It works very well on you lower body!
