Number 8 in my Ipsy Crossbody Bag Series 😎! Maybe it was just me, but I felt like this bag had a Southwest feeling to it...so I went with it! I used a big piece of super-soft brown faux-leather that I bought to make a jacket, and made a strap, fringe (yes, more fringe...I LOVE FRINGE! 😉), and tassels for both sides. I also used some beads on the tassels, and dark bronze hardware to connect the strap to the bag. I felt like the bag still needed something in the center, so I drew up and cut out a Southwest-style symbol on a piece of the faux-leather & attached it. This is number 7 in my Ipsy crossbody bag series! I used the October 2014 bag for this one. Number 5 in my Ipsy crossbody bag series! I used the February 2014 bag for this one. I drew up, cut out, and made the lips applique. I cut out and sewed up the white strap and white loops, and attached them with silver hardware. IPSY GLAM BAG PROJECT # 19 😄😄😄! I made this tote by sewing rope together. If any of you are familiar with sewing rope baskets, this is the same concept, except I made a bag 😊 I used a larger rope for the handles, and just put them through holes I left in the bag, and tied knots in the ends. I sewed the Ipsy bag to the front, and I stitched around the top edge of the tote with matching blue embroidery thread. IPSY GLAM BAG PROJECT # 14 😀!!! I call this "THE DREAMER" backpack, inspired by the lovely @michellephan 💖 As soon as I saw the galaxy print, I thought of Michelle 😊. As you guys may have seen in my video, I hand-painted the fabric to match the awesome galaxy Ipsy bag. I made my own pattern for the backpack and sewed it up. I sewed the Ipsy bag to the front, and I added a really pretty blue/purple satin lining. And, I painted "dreamer" on it as closely as I could to the lighted sign Michelle Phan has on her wall and posted on her Instagram 😄 Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do! SCHOOL OF ROCK! My spin on ipsy's "Prep School" theme this month 😊 I used my ipsy bag to make a mini backback for the rebel rockers. This project was very much one where I used whatever I had on hand. I used a pinstriped jumper dress that I haven't worn in a while for the body of the bag, and the ipsy bag for the front pocket. I pulled the zipper out of another dress I haven't worn in a long time to use for the top zipper. The patent leather piece on top is an arm strap I got at Hot Topic a few years ago. I made a faux leather pocket on the side of the bag (to hold your drumsticks...or pencils), and added a chain and pendant on it for decoration. I had the skull patch and pyramid studs in my stash. And, of course, I had to listen to some AC/DC while I made it, since I was inspired by Angus's school boy uniform 😎. IPSY PINK MAILER PROJECT # 3 💖 Gift Wrapping! I made the curly ribbons with the sides of the mailers, and used the mailer as wrapping paper. For the ribbons, just cut the ribbed sides away from the mailer, and curl with scissors. IPSY PINK MAILER PROJECT # 6 💖 Ornament! If you do not enjoy tedious work, this isn't for you - LOL! However, if you find it relaxing, as I do, you may want to give this a go 😊 Glue a ribbon to the top of a styrofoam craft ball for hanging. Remove the backing from the mailer as I did with the frame. Cut the mailer into 4 petal flowers. Stagger 2 flowers together, and stick to the ball with a sewing pin with a sequin through it. Cover the ball, and you're done!
