Eyelash Beauty Hacks to Always Get the Perfect Lashes

目次

Want to get the perfect lashes all the time, right?

Here are the tips to make that dreams come true!

Heat up the curler

Instead of heating up your entire eyelash curler with your blowdryer, hold just the curling part in a glass of hot water for about five seconds, dry it off, then curl your lashes. The water means that the metal heats up far more evenly, plus you won’t accidentally burn your fingers with your dryer.

Baby Powder

Now it's time for the powder. Shake a bit into the palm of your hand, dip a Q-tip into it, then apply to both the tops and bottoms of your lashes. Make sure you fully cover them! If you're doing it correctly, your eyelashes should be totally saturated and no longer look black when you're finished.

Bend the brush

Next time you open up your tube of mascara, you should bend your mascara wand so that it's perpendicular to the rest of the wand. A bent wand will allow you to have greater control. It will also help you reach those problem areas.

Wipe off excess mascara

A brand new bottle of mascara can transfer a lot of extra product on the wand for the first few uses, causing clumpy lashes. So before your first coat, glide the brush over a napkin or tissue to remove any excess formula.

Layer your formulas

We love waterproof mascara, but hot damn is it hard to remove—we’ve scrubbed our under-eyes raw and yanked out more lashes than we can count trying to take it off. To make it easier to remove while maintaining its longwearing properties, layer a coat of waterproof mascara overtop your regular formula. Voila, the best of both worlds.

The Direction Matters

The way you hold the brush when applying your mascara can make a huge difference. Holding the brush horizontally and wiggling it back and forth will give you voluminous lashes, while holding it vertically and running the tip of the brush along the length of your lashes will leave you with a longer, more natural look.

Enjoy the perfect eyelashes all the time!
