We all know the original function of the blending sponge is to apply foundation to the skin in a dabbing motion, and the result is an effortless airbrushed effect. Where the sponge evenly applies the liquid foundation, it almost melts into the skin preventing a ‘cakey’ look to your make up.

You can use the pointed end of the beauty blender and dab underneath the eye, working your way to the inner corner of the eye, where you need the extra coverage. I like to use the beauty blender dry to blend the concealer seamlessly into the skin, to allow it to absorb excess product that might otherwise crawl into fine lines and make them even more visible.

Now this technique has been said to work best when the sponge is damp with water, so this isn’t really one you can do on the go. With a circular motion lightly and using the flat bottom of the sponge it gives the perfect application of blush to the apples of your cheeks. You’ll look perfectly rosy in seconds!
