Easy Halloween Nail Art Designs and Tutorials

1. Start off with your base color. I opted for a black background and white cobwebs but you can use virtually any color you want.
2. Next draw a stripe from one corner of your nail to the other. This should be in the middle of your nail as a guideline because you're going to need 2 more lines!
3. Draw 2 more lines like I did in the 3rd photo where lines are mostly equal in distance apart.
4. Now in between a pair of lines, draw a little curve like a "C" just like I did. See how it looks like a smiley face's smile? :)
5. Continue drawing another little "C" curve between the next pair of lines.
6. And continue yet again with the curves! As you can see, there are now 3 lines but 4 curves connecting them all.
7. Basically repeat steps 4-6 but this time moving up a level. (I don't know how else to explain it... just continue the cobweb!)
8. Keep adding onto your web!
9. Finally!!! When you're done with your web, just add a topcoat to seal in the design.

1. Paint on a nail polish that matches your skin tone. I’ve used Barry M Vanilla.
2. Paint a few thin lines of varying lengths from your cuticle down your nail in the blood red polish.
3. Using a dotting tool, add one dot to the end of each line.
4. Pick up your nail art brush and draw a curved line from the dot to your cuticle.
5. Fill in the area near your cuticles by joining up the lines.
6. To finish, add your favorite top coat and clean up any mess that’s left on your cuticles using polish remover and a small nail brush.

Skull nail art tutorial:
1. With black, add a curved and vertical line on both sides to make the shape of a skull
2. Add a horizontal line and small vertical lines for the mouth.
3. Add 2 large dots for the eye sockets
4. Add an upside down heart for the nose
5. Add a top coat and you're done!

1. Paint your nails a light bone/beige shade and let dry completely.
2. With a large dotting tool, add two large black dots in the upper part of your nail for the centers of the eyes.
3. Use a pink polish to add tiny dots around the edge of each large black dot.
4. With a medium sized dotting tool, paint an upside down heart between and below the two eyes. This will be the sugar skull nose.

5. To paint he background for the teeth, use a medium dotter to place a black dot just below the nose. Carefully drag your dotter covered in polish lightly down your nail to create an elongated oval shape. Do this six times, with the two center ovals being longest in length.
6. Repeat the same process with a white polish, but make sure your elongated ovals are smaller than the black ones.
7. With a thin detail brush (or any tool you have handy), paint a black line dividing the teeth.
8. Use your detail brush and black paint to contour the sides of the face, starting at the middle of the eye. This will give your skull much more dimension.

9. Grab a small dotter and dot an arc of teal dots just above the eyes.
10. Repeat this process with a yellow arc just above the teal one.
11. Add some dimension to the nose by adding a smaller teal heart on top of the heart shape you painted in step 4.
12. Finally, add 3 or so dots of yellow along the cheek line of your sugar skull.
If you’re up for the challenge, paint a variation of this design on each nail in different colors, or keep it simple by following the next steps.

13. On the remaining nails, paint a few flowers near your cuticle line (or wherever you’d prefer!). Use the pink polish and a dotting tool to add the petals for 3 or so flowers.
14. Add a yellow center to each flower.
15. With your teal shade, paint a few leaves around each flower.
16. Finally, tie the sugar skull nail and the floral design together by adding some black accents. Add a black dot to the center of each flower, and a small line to each leaf.
Finish off your look with your favorite top coat and enjoy!
