You have leftover pumpkin?

Why don't you use if for DIY beauty?

There are many things you can do with pumpkin!

Pumpkin Sugar Scrub

1 cup organic brown sugar
2 Tbsp cooked pumpkin or pumpkin puree (I buy my pumpkin puree here.)
2 Tbsp carrier oil (coconut, grapeseed, sweet almond)
½ tsp cinnamon...

Add about ½ cup brown sugar to container.
Mix in pumpkin puree and carrier oil.
Stir until combined.
Add remaining brown sugar and mix well.
Apply using light circular motions.
Rinse well....

Facial Mask for Oily Skin

Whisk together about 1/4 cup of pumpkin and one whole egg. The yolk adds nourishment while the white provides a subtle tightening effect to sagging skin. For an astringent effect, mix in a splash of apple cider or cranberry juice.

Pumpkin mask for dry skin

Whisk together about 1/4 cup of pumpkin and one whole egg. The yolk adds nourishment while the white provides a subtle tightening effect to sagging skin. Add a few teaspoons of honey, which not only seals in moisture, but prevents breakouts thanks to its antibacterial properties.

Pumpkin facial mask for acne

2 tbsp 100% Pure Pumpkin
1 tbsp Honey
1 tsp and Apple Cider Vinegar

Mix the ingredients together, and you’ll have enough for about two uses. Apply with your hands or a flat brush, and leave on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off. Store the left over mask in an air-tight container inside the refrigerator. It will last up to one week.

Hair Mask

½ cup pureed pumpkin
¼ cup of natural plain yogurt
2 tablespoons of honey

Combine the ingredients in a small bowl and mix well. Apply the mask through your entire hair (all the way from the roots to your tips.) Put on a shower cap and leave on for about 30 minutes. Rinse off well with lukewarm water. Style as usual. An excellent conditioner for dry hair, this recipe will make your hair shiny and soft.
