How do you make highlight on your face ?

For women having Medium Skin Tone

Highlighting and contouring has been a popular topic in the beauty industry. From celebrities to Youtube stars, everyone seems to have tips and tricks for creating the perfectly highlighted and contoured face. With the launch of Luxe Liquid Bright Concealers we thought it was time for a step-by-step guide on contouring and highlighting featuring our lovely National Educator, Janeena Billera.

Janeena has a medium skin tone so she selected Luxe Liquid Bright Concealer in brighten as the lightest highlight shade, Luxe Liquid Bright Concealer in sunburst as the highlight/transition shade, and Concealer Under Eye in honey as the darkest contour color. Using something like Concealer Under Eye works as a contour product because it has a creamy formula that will blend easily for a more natural look. Using Pressed Base or Bronze will also work just be sure to blend completely to avoid harsh lines.

For women having Oblong Face

Where you should contour

・Along your hairline to create the illusion of a lower hairline.
・Under your chin to make your face appear a little rounder.
・The area below your cheekbones starting from your ears and ending in the middle of your cheeks.

Where you should highlight

・Under your eyes in an upside-down triangle shape to brighten your eyes.

For women having Oval Face

STEP ONE
Highlight the high points of your face. For an oval-shaped face, first apply highlighter in a half-circle shape on your forehead. Then, sweep it under the eyes, down the nose, outside the nostrils, on the chin, on the outside corners of your mouth, and on the outside of your jaw.

STEP TWO
Choose a contour color that's not warm or shimmery. Use the angled side of your brush to apply your contour into the hollows of your cheeks. Then contour under the jaw, on the outside of the forehead, and down the sides of the nose.

STEP THREE
Blend. Start at the inner corner of your eyes and work your way out and around. Blend the highlighter out first and the contour in second, until there are no harsh lines.

STEP FOUR
Finish with a translucent powder. Use a pressing motion so you don't sweep any of your makeup away. Make sure you hit your T-zone and under your eyes, as those spots tend to get the oiliest.
