What Is Botox?
Botox is the most popular treatment used to smooth out wrinkles in the forehead and around the eyes.
How does Botox work?
Botox is very simple. While it is injected, it blocks appear wrinkles around your eyes and forehead. Facial muscle doesn't work a little so it looks disappear lines on your face.
Botox works by weakening the muscles into which it is injected. As facial muscles contract, the loose skin above those muscles wrinkles. By weakening the muscles, the wrinkles are reduced.
How often do you need to inject Botox on your face?
It depends on how much you move your face but on average some doctors say every 3-6 months is better.
How quickly will I see results?
The results from a Botox treatment are immediate for fine lines and wrinkles. However, it may take up to a week or two before deeper facial wrinkles around the mouth and eyes smoothen out. If the facial wrinkles are very deep, the use of a filler such as Juvederm, or Voluma, may be necessary to achieve that 100% wrinkle free look.
How much does Botox cost?
It depends on how much botox is injected or how much your doctor charges. The average cost is about $90 - $300.
Is preventative Botox a good idea?
If you started to inject botox from a young age, it could stop wrinkles from ever appearing in the first place. but some doctor cautions against using botox too soon.
